Appellee school districts, parents, and students filed suit in the district court of Travis County seeking a declaration that the Texas school financing system, Tex. Educ.Code § 16.001, et seq., is in violation of the Texas Constitution.1 After a bench trial, the district court rendered judgment to that effect.
