Former Sheriff Charles C. Wilson and his successor, Sheriff Johnny Marino, appeal from a judgment for Leroy J. Matherne, a deputy, on the trial of Matherne's § 1983 claim that Wilson fired him for campaigning for Wilson's political opponent.
