Plaintiff-respondent Carole Cohen brought this action seeking to recover the proceeds of several life insurance policies insuring the life of her husband, Philip Cohen. On March 10, 1980, Philip Cohen left his home in Manhattan and failed to keep scheduled appointments in New Jersey.
