The issue presented in this appeal involves the proper meaning of the term "three previous convictions" in the Armed Career Criminal Act (18 U.S.C. § 924(e)). The appellant contends that this term is ambiguous and must, therefore, be interpreted by referring to the legislative history of the Act.
