PER CURIAM.

In this medical malpractice case defendant appeals from the trial court's order granting a new trial after the jury had found in defendant's favor. We reverse.

We conclude that the order did not comply with the requirement that a trial court may not grant a motion for new trial if reasonable men can differ as to whether the verdict was against the manifest weight of the evidence, unless the trial court properly makes an independent determination...
