Defendant Donald Beauchene appeals from a judgment entered on a jury verdict in Superior Court (Kennebec County) convicting him of escape from the Augusta Mental Health Institute (AMHI) under 17-A M.R.S.A. § 755(1) (1983). Beauchene makes four appellate contentions: (1) that the indictment charging escape was insufficient in identifying the nature of the official custody from which he escaped; (2) that a section 755 "escape" does not...
