The appellants brought this action in the District Court, Lewis and Clark County, requesting that House Bill 637 (Ch. 343, 1987 Mont. Laws) be declared unconstitutional, unlawful, void and to enjoin the Secretary of State from placing the constitutional amendment proposed by the Bill on the November, 1988 ballot. The appellants further requested that the Secretary of State be enjoined from publishing the proposed amendment to the voter information...
