(White and Stafford) filed a complaint in the District Court of Limestone County, Alabama, alleging that Dennis Billions was in default on a retail installment contract. The complaint alleged that the balance of the contract was $1,538.47 plus costs.

Billions answered, admitting that he owed White and Stafford, but disputed the amount alleged in the complaint...
