Defendants, Chief of Detectives Aubrey Authement and Deputy Sheriff Elmore J. Songe, Jr. of the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office, were charged in a single bill of information1 with numerous counts of malfeasance in office, violations of LSA-R.S. 14:134.
