Defendant Brian Mondy was charged with two counts of armed robbery. La.R.S. 14:64. He was convicted as charged on count two and found guilty of simple robbery on count one. The court sentenced the defendant to fifty years at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence on count two and five years at hard labor on count one.
