The defendant Steven Roby was found guilty by jury in Vernon County of first degree murder under Section 565.020.1, RSMo 1986. Roby was sentenced to life imprisonment without eligibility for probation or parole. On appeal, Roby alleges the trial court should have granted his motion for judgment of acquittal at the close of evidence.
