Bethlehem Steel Corporation ("Bethlehem") filed suit against Chicago Eastern Corporation ("Chicago Eastern") to collect payment for a shipment of steel sold to Chicago Eastern. Bethlehem's amended complaint alleged that Chicago Eastern had breached the parties' contract and committed fraud.
