The appellant Loyad J. Carol, was tried by jury for the crime of Rape in the First Degree in violation of 21 O.S.Supp. 1983, § 1114 in Case No. CRF-83-120 in the District Court of LeFlore County. The jury returned a verdict of guilty and set punishment at twenty-five (25) years' imprisonment. The trial court sentenced the defendant in accordance with the jury's verdict...
