Newsome C. Charbonnet was charged by bill of information with third offense driving while intoxicated, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:98 D. After trial by jury, the defendant was found guilty as charged. He received a sentence of one year in the parish jail, six months of which was to be served without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. The remaining six months of the sentence was suspended, and the defendant was placed on supervised...
