Appellant S.C. Ryan, Inc., a Montana corporation, filed a complaint in county court alleging that appellee Bill Lowe owed it a debt of $1,035.31 plus a 1.5 percent per month service charge. Appellee failed to file a responsive pleading within the time permitted, and a default judgment was entered against him in the amount of $1,075.90. Appellee then filed a motion to set aside the default judgment, an answer, and a motion to dismiss, along with affidavits...
