Following a jury trial, Darnell Jones was convicted of one count of sexual assault in the first degree. Jones filed an application for post-conviction relief, alleging ineffective assistance on the part of his trial counsel. After a hearing, Superior Court Judge Rene J. Gonzalez concluded that the performance rendered by Jones' trial counsel was constitutionally deficient; Judge Gonzalez entered an order setting aside Jones'...
