James Keatts, a resident of Maryland, failed to pay the taxes on a parcel of District of Columbia real estate that he owned along with two other investors. To satisfy the tax delinquency, the property was sold at a public auction to Jack, Thomas, and William Robinson, who received a tax deed from the District of Columbia after the statutory waiting period had expired.
