CANNON, Justice.

This is an appeal from a take-nothing judgment in a personal injury case. On December 14, 1982, David Lee Smith was hit by a car while on the premises of Monsanto Company's Chocolate Bayou Plant. Smith sued the driver of the car, J.W. Thornton, Crescent Electric Company, Inc., Thornton's employer, and Monsanto Company. (J.W. Thornton died prior to trial, and the Estate of J.W.
