Plaintiffs, Burlington Fire Fighters' Association and the Burlington Fire Fighters' Officers Association, challenge the validity of a retroactive provision of the City of Burlington's (City) retirement ordinance. Plaintiffs sought to enjoin the City from enforcing the terms of an amendment to the City's pension plan which requires retroactive contributions into the pension fund in exchange for increased benefits.
