Defendant pleaded guilty on October 16, 1986, to driving with a revoked license in violation of section 6-303 of the Illinois Vehicle Code (Code) (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1985, ch. 95 1/2, par. 6-303). Defendant's license had been revoked following a conviction for driving under the influence of alcohol (see Ill. Rev. Stat. 1983, ch. 95 1/2, par. 11-501), and he had a subsequent conviction for driving...
