Defendant-appellant, Willie C. Rowe, a black man, was charged in one case with second degree murder in violation of Neb. Rev.Stat. § 28-304 (Reissue 1985), and with the use of a knife to commit that felony in violation of Neb.Rev.Stat. § 28-1205 (Reissue 1985).
