William Michael Tumlinson was convicted of murder in June of 1982 and sentenced to 99 years' confinement. This Court reversed that conviction based on a violation of the then existing psychotherapist-patient privilege.1 See Tumlinson v. State, 663 S.W.2d 539 (Tex.App.-Dallas 1983, pet. ref'd).
