Dale Barnett was charged by bill of information with cruelty to a juvenile, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:93. He pled not guilty and, after trial by jury, was found guilty of attempted cruelty to a juvenile, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:27 and 14.93.
