HOGAN, Judge.

In this proceeding for postconviction relief under former Rule 27.26,1 movant James Hodge (to whom we shall refer as the defendant) appeals from an order denying relief. We affirm.

Upon trial to the court without the intervention of a jury, defendant was convicted of assault in the first degree as defined and denounced by § 565.050, RSMo 1978, and his punishment was assessed at imprisonment for life. On appeal...
