In this worker's compensation case, the plaintiff, Billy Ray Underwood, filed suit against his employer, Maricle Logging Contracting, Inc. (Maricle) and its worker's compensation insurer, Southern Casualty Insurance Co. The trial court found the plaintiff to be permanently totally disabled and awarded him $186.67 per week from May 7, 1984, continuing through the period of his disability.
