Appellant entered a plea of guilty to an indictment charging him with failing to stop and render aid. Tex.Rev.Civ.Stat. Ann. art. 6701d, §§ 38 and 40 (1977 and Supp.1988). In accordance with a plea bargain agreement, the district court assessed punishment at imprisonment for five years, probated.
