On September 9, 1987, Jose Felix Quintero, the defendant, pled guilty to the crime of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, a violation of La.R.S. 40:966(A)(1). On October 9, 1987, the defendant was sentenced to serve a term of five years, receiving credit for time served.
