These are consolidated appeals by investors in Imperial Mortgage Corporation, a state-regulated mortgage company, from the district court's denial of claims against Imperial's principals and agents and against the State of Nevada. Pursuant to an order of this court, Leroy Bergstrom, the trustee in bankruptcy for J. Stephen Lemons and Associates, another Nevada mortgage company, filed briefs as amicus curiae.
