Plaintiff, Thomas Hayes, Jr., was injured when he was bitten by a dog owned by defendant, Andrew McFarland. Hayes filed suit against McFarland and his insurer, Hartford Insurance Company. Hayes' wife and his two children also sued defendants seeking damages for loss of consortium, society and services. Trial was held and the jury found that Hayes' own fault was the sole cause of his injuries. Thus all claims for damages were denied. The plaintiffs...
