Appellant, James Scott Dennison, appeals from his conviction of assault in the Jefferson Circuit Court.

The appellant was under eighteen years of age when he was indicted on January 14, 1987, on the charge of assault. The indictment alleged that he attacked an individual with a knife and caused physical injury. The case was set to be tried in circuit court on September 16, 1987.
