BOSLAUGH, Justice.

This is an appeal in a proceeding under the Nebraska Workers' Compensation Act.

The plaintiff, Barbara A. White, was injured as the result of an accident on November 16, 1983, while employed as a salesperson by the defendant, Sears, Roebuck & Co. The accident occurred when the plaintiff was lifting a floor jack to place it in the trunk of a customer's automobile. As a result of the injury to her back, the plaintiff underwent a laminectomy...
