The plaintiff alleges that the defendants wrongfully failed to effect a tax shelter investment for him and failed to timely inform him that his tax shelter investment would not be effected. The plaintiff advances theories of negligent misrepresentation, breach of contract, "detrimental reliance", and "simple" negligence.
