Carol Golmon (defendant) was indicted by the East Baton Rouge Parish Grand Jury, with second degree murder. LSA-R. S. 14:30.1. Defendant pled not guilty and filed motions to suppress a confession and physical evidence, which were denied after a hearing. Defendant thereafter withdrew her initial plea and pled guilty to the reduced charge of manslaughter. LSA-R.S 14:31. She reserved the right to appeal the trial court's denial of the motions to suppress...
