Defendant Jesse Covington was indicted for the crimes of attempted murder in the second degree and other lesser charges. He was accused of pushing his girlfriend from her bedroom window causing her to sustain severe injuries. Prior to trial defendant moved to suppress written and oral statements which he had made to police officers.
