Defendant Cortland Glass Company, Inc. (hereinafter Cortland) was the primary contractor on a renovation project for defendant City School District of the City of Elmira (hereinafter Elmira). Plaintiff was the subcontractor hired by Cortland to perform certain window replacements required for the project.
