WILLIAMS, J.

Michael Cantrell, a juvenile, was charged with second degree escape. The trial court granted his motion to dismiss the charge in the interest of justice because the prosecutor's office filed the information 7 weeks after receipt of the police report. The State appeals; we reverse.
