Appellant, James Edward Rodden, was convicted of the capital murder of Terry Trunnel. § 565.001, RSMo 1978.1 The jury recommended a sentence of death, finding that the murder was committed while appellant was engaged in the commission of another capital murder, § 565.012.2(2),2 and that the murder was outrageously or wantonly vile, horrible or inhuman in that it involved torture...
