This case requires us to examine (once again) the scope of an appellate court's review of a conviction entered after a defendant's plea of guilty. We address ORS 138.050,1 predecessor versions of which we have held limit our review of convictions based on a guilty or a no contest plea to the grounds specified in the statute. State v. Jairl, 229 Or. 533
