COYNE, Justice.

This is an action for support of a now 15-year-old child brought by Douglas County more than three years after the child first received public assistance. The defendant is the putative father — not the presumed father — of the child, whose mother was married to a man other than defendant at the time of the child's birth. Contending that the action was barred by the three-year limitation set by Minn.Stat. § 257.57...
