Boyd DePriest was convicted in a jury trial of possession of heroin in violation of Code § 18.2-248. He was sentenced in accordance with the jury's verdict to seven years incarceration. On appeal, DePriest argues that the heroin found in his possession should have been suppressed as the product of an illegal search.
