Defendant appeals his conviction and sentence as a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:95.1. He raises two assignments of error: (1) that he was denied his right to cross examine witnesses and to present a defense when the trial judge curtailed his attorney's questioning of the State's witnesses, and (2) that he was illegally sentenced to serve additional time should he fail to pay the fine imposed.
