Cullen Domingue was charged by grand jury indictment for first degree murder. He pled not guilty by reason of insanity, and elected to proceed by jury trial. On the date the trial was scheduled to begin, the state amended the indictment to charge second degree murder. Defendant pled not guilty to the amended bill. The jury convicted him as charged.
