PER CURIAM.

In this habeas corpus proceeding Sheldon Jones maintains that he received ineffective assistance of counsel in his appeal from an attempted murder conviction. We deny the petition.

In July 1984, Jones shot Bernard Gonyea, a coworker at the Tampa office of the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Gonyea remained in a coma and never recovered. Ten months after the shooting a jury rejected Jones's defense of insanity and convicted him of attempted...
