Defendant Wilbert Turner was indicted, along with Franklin Cooke, Secretary-Treasurer of the International Longshoremen's Association (ILA) Local 1694, on one count of embezzling, stealing, unlawfully and willfully abstracting and converting to their own use an amount in excess of $10,586, from the funds of Local 1694, in violation of 29 U.S.C. § 501(c) and 18 U.S.C. § 2.
