MEMORANDUM AND ORDER

GLASSER, District Judge:

In a July 7, 1987 scheduling order, it was directed that all motions, except plaintiff's discovery motion, would be heard on August 21. The discovery motion was referred to Magistrate Caden. In a later order dated July 20, the previous order was modified to provide that all the motions, including the discovery motion, would be heard on August 21, because plaintiff said it would be a hardship to make two trips...
