Defendants in this case are charged, by a Second Superseding Indictment ("Indictment") in fifty counts filed on August 5, 1987, with violations of the Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), 18 U.S.C. §§ 1961-1968 (1982), involving nineteen predicate acts.
