Following plea negotiations with the state, Edward Jaramillo pled guilty to one count of armed robbery. I.C. §§ 18-6501, 6503. He received an indeterminate nine-year sentence. As part of the plea bargain, the state agreed to allow him to be extradited to Arizona to answer pending probation violation charges and, in effect, to serve part of his Idaho sentence in Arizona. After the Idaho sentencing, however, Arizona decided against extradition...
