Plaintiff, Sears, Roebuck and Company, brought suit against Melvin A. Ballard, a resident of Katy, Texas, alleging breach of contract. Plaintiff sought personal jurisdiction over the defendant through the Louisiana Long-Arm Statute, LSA-R.S. 13:3201, et seq.
