In this landlord-tenant squabble, tenant Daniel Kohlman claimed landlord Sam Finkelstein converted his personal property located in a building owned by Finkelstein after Kohlman's eviction. Kohlman first filed his complaint in Marion Municipal Court where the jurisdictional limit at that time was $12,500. While this suit was pending — but after the two-year statute of limitations had expired — Kohlman amended his municipal court complaint...
