Placid Oil Company ("Placid") sued Louisiana Gas Intrastate, Inc. of Shreveport ("LGI") for breach of a gas sales contract, claiming that LGI had underpaid for gas sold under the contract. LGI counterclaimed, seeking declaratory relief and attorney's fees. The trial court rendered judgment for LGI on its counterclaims and rendered a take-nothing judgment against Placid based upon Energy Reserves Group...
